Grade 7 visits Dartmouth College on Thurs. 5/26 - see all 3 slideshows below of our visits to the Microscopy Lab, Ecology Lab and the Greenhouse; with a quick outdoor lunch & 20 minute walk about part of the campus!Microscopy Lab! Cheek cells & cow arterial cells using FLORESCENCE to see different structures of the cells!Touring the Greenhouse & eating lunch outside!Ecology Lab with Craig! In late October, the 8th grade class was invited to a Career Expo which was held in the B.U.H.S gym. They had a chance to ask a variety of career, education, and skill questions as they interacted with about 30-40 representatives from Windham County businesses, workplaces & colleges. They had a scavenger hunt to fill out and spent their hour there very busy and engaged. Several Dummerston students won prizes from a drawing of completed scavenger hunts. From the expo, Ms. Rago & Ms. Brown took the students to the Brooks House, where we ate a nice lunch in the atrium and then went on an official tour of the downtown CCV campus; lots of great questions were asked & answered! Before boarding the bus back to school, we made a quick stop at WOW for some yummy frozen yogurt with just a FEW toppings!
